We successfully concluded a workshop focused on “How to Build Youth Awareness.” The session was honored by the presence of our guest speaker, Ustaad Bashir Abdi Mahmoud (Balcad).
This workshop centered on ways to raise awareness among the youth, and several key points were highlighted to bring attention to within the community:
- Parents should be aware of their children’s lives and maintain a close relationship with them.
- Schools should be environments where children develop intellect, activeness, and good character — not places they associate with punishment or restriction.
- Good people should collaborate to build a united and positive community.
- Social media should be used responsibly to promote good behavior, offering younger generations positive role models to emulate.
The event included educated young women and ended in a warm, positive atmosphere.
The Somali Girls’ Hope Organization is always committed to awareness-raising, supporting, mentoring, training, educating girls, and assisting elders, children, and people with special needs.
